The little lake situated towards the centre of the park is also a site to take in. The park is family friendly and has a play area for small children. At the top of the stairs once you make your way up from the harbour you also encounter the Santa Catarina Chapel and the bust of Christopher Columbus.

Its is also an ideal spot to look down on the Pestana CR7 Hotel and the CR7 Museum (Cristiano Ronaldo). During the summer months the park also hosts some music and entertainment festivals.

Making your way up towards the top end of the park you will see a large stately pink coloured looking property. This is the Quinta Vigia (The Official Residence of Madeira’s President).
